How the World Race Changed my Life
The Lord has moved in my heart and through our time over the last 11 months on the Race. Glory to Him!! Here are some notable things that God taught me this year:
- The grace I’ve received enables me to extend grace to others.
- God gives me dreams and visions with purpose and will see them to completion according to his will.
- No amount of earthly wisdom or previous experience can help me navigate something rightly if I’m not first seeking the Lord and his wisdom.
- The more I come to know and love the heart of God, the more I become aware of the depth of my sin and depravity, therefore I rejoice in my salvation all the more.
- Through squad leading, I learned how to assume the best, extend grace, keep no record of wrong, trust others, and depend on them for support.
- Squad leading with my co-leaders continued the Holy Spirit’s work in me of stripping back self-sufficiency and choosing to ask for help and enjoy working with others.
- Squad leading challenged me to take responsibility, own things, and ask for forgiveness on someone else’s behalf. So humbling.
- One of the best things about squad leading was learning to live worthy of imitation and a life that is above reproach.
- It’s the love of God that compels me to action.
- God’s Word is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. It transforms our daily lives.
- God has bestowed on me strength, dignity, and royalty that makes me set-apart. My calling and equipping are based on his unshakeable kingdom.
- GOD IS ALWAYS SPEAKING, and I want to be a woman who listens.
- As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. My house will be called a house of prayer.
- God is my delight.
When the Race is complete, still my lips shall repeat, “Yet not I but through Christ in me”.
You matter to God, so you matter to me.
