Discipleship!! Passion!! Mission!! Refinement!! Followship!! Friendship!! Surrender!! Trust!!

These are things the Holy Spirit has been stirring in me & things I’m excited to continue in! I’m so excited & humbled to share with you that I will be going back out on the field after the race ends to Alumni Lead with the World Race Gap Year outreach squad!!! The glory belongs to the Lord!

I promised details were coming soon, so here’s a little more of the story!

In March, I began to pray with curiosity about what God wants me to do after my 11-month race ends at end of July. I reached out to friends at Liberty about job opportunities, dreamt about rafting season, and thought about joining the JJNC team again. As a raised-up squad leader on my race right now, I had briefly thought about returning to the field as an Alumni Squad leader for an 11-month squad (which would mean 5 months on the field with them) but I didn’t give it too much thought. But after a few conversations with our squad mentor and friends about World Race Gap Year (a 9-month committment), I felt the Lord asking me to apply. I prayed, sought wise counsel, filled out the application, prayed, interviewed, facetimed my mom, prayed, and made the decision to go.

After making the decision, I wrestled with a lot of feelings about it. The cost is high to leave home again and say more goodbyes. The last month of squad leading out here has been challenging, and it made me nervous for the future. But time and time again, the Lord continued to affirm me in my calling and speak truth over me. Spending time with my parents at PVT was a gift and it gave me such encouragement when they blessed me as I follow Jesus and love people wherever he leads me. I choose to give the Lord my life and walk in obedience, no matter how difficult or intimidating a ‘Yes’ will be. I believe goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life! When we seek first the kingdom of God, he will also meet our every need according to his riches in glory. Jesus is worth me denying myself, picking up my cross daily, and following him!

I’m honored to get to follow God into this next season of leading WRGY after my race! It’s a privilege to spend time with, and disciple, a group of believers who are hungry for more of the Lord. It’s special to get to do life with people who want to share the gospel, walk in radical obedience, and make disciples of Jesus. I’m grateful for another season of life with AIM on the race and the opportunity to teach others what it looks like to pursue intimacy with God, community with others, and life on mission. I’m grateful for more exposure to new cultures and familiar ones and am hopeful to see old friends in the places I’ll return to!

So, the details!! Here’s what my next year will relatively look like:

  • Return from the race with my beloved P Squad on July 27th!
  • Squad Leader debrief!
  • Return home August 3rd!
  • HANG WITH THE FAM! 17 days!! xoxoxo
  • Make my way back to Gainesville, GA for leader training August 20th!
  • Training camp & domestic ministry until mid-October!
  • Do life in Guatemala, Cambodia, Eswatini, and South Africa!
  • Return to US for domestic ministry and final debrief in early May!
  • Finish the race May 23rd!

WOAH! Steezy. What a crazy, awesome, exciting next year. THANK YOU, GOD. Trusting the Lord with my heart and my future is always best! I’m STOKED.

Thanks for following along on my own World Race journey. Your prayers, friendship, and support have meant the world to me. I quite literally would not be here if it weren’t for your eagerness to love me and partner with me in the gospel. Thank you!

As I head out on the field again, I need your help! I will need to raise $5,800 to support my time on the field with Gap Year. This feels like such a small number compared to the cost of my race, and I’m sure that the Lord will provide, but I still cannot do it on my own. If you feel led to give, you can do so through the link on my blog page, by clicking this link, or a non-tax deductible donation through venmo! Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone you think may want to help! Thank you for your generosity!

Please join me in prayer!

  • Please pray that the Lord would continue to sustain me as I finish leading and running the race well with P Squad
  • Please pray that God would provide for me and meet my financial needs for the next race
  • Please pray that God would daily restore my soul and give me fresh excitement and energy for the future plans that he has prepared for me

Thank you for reading & for caring for me!
You matter to God, so you matter to me.
